Mike studied saxophone at Northern Illinois University and Berklee College of Music where he received a BM in Saxophone Performance. His teaching experience includes three years at Biligi University in Turkey where he taught saxophone, clarinet and flute along with ensembles and ear training classes. He has played at many jazz festivals including the Montreaux Jazz Festival under the direction of Quincy Jones. He currently works as a freelance player in the New York/New Jersey metro area.
