Mike Advensky (Drums) –

Mike is a professional musician eager to contribute to the education of young, up and coming musicians. A Drummer/Percussionist with over 20 years of performing and teaching experience, he has earned a B.A. in Classical Percussion and a Masters Degree from New Jersey City University with a concentration in Jazz Performance. In 2005, he became a recipient of a Scholarship for outstanding musical aptitude awarded by the New Jersey Jazz Society.

Michael has studied with some of the best drum/percussion teachers the Metropolitan area has to offer including Sonny Igoe, John Reilly, Tim Horner, Dave Ratajczak and Nick Cerrato. He has performed with some of the finest jazz musicians and ensembles in the New York area including Joel Weiskopf, Bob Mover, Andy Eulau, Nathan Eklund and The Cecil's Big Band under the direction of Joe Elefante. His playing experiences delve into many different genres including Jazz, Big Band, Rock, Off-Broadway, Pop, Brazilian, Funk and Hip-Hop.

Anthony Amodeo (Drums) –

Anthony is a seasoned musician who spent most of his life either touring, teaching, or in a recording studio. In recent years he is happy dedicating his time to helping drum students both young and old get in touch with their inner musician. Using some of the extremely effective educating techniques passed on to him from his own teachers, Anthony firmly believes learning to play should be equally as fun as it is rewarding.

Some of the players/instructors Anthony has had the opportunity to study with are: Joe Porcaro, Ricky Lawson, Ray Luzier, Mike Clark , Maria Martinez, Dave Allen, Fred Dinkins, Gary Hess, and Chuck Silverman. Anthony earned a degree from the Percussion Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in Hollywood California, and also studied audio engineering at IAR (Institute of Audio Research) in NYC. He has taught private lessons for the last 9 years in Los Angeles, California and Boston Massachusetts and, being a NJ native, is thrilled to be part of the amazing roster of instructors at Elefante Music in New Providence, NJ. Since 2001, Anthony has performed with NJ-based band All Parallels, which has recorded four albums and done multiple nation-wide tours.
