This diversified skill-building class helps students find and hone their own distinctive performance strengths.
Students spend equal time working on dancing, singing, and acting, with the goal of developing strong foundational technique in each area and becoming true musical theater “Triple Threats.”
Through the exploration of a wide range of theater dance styles, musical genres, and acting approaches, students will gain performance stamina, develop discipline, and increase their confidence and ease on stage.
The class concludes with a recital on the weekend of January 31st and February 1st.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

NICOLE LABRIT-PETREWSKI
Nicole Labrit-Petrewski completed her B.A. in Theater Arts and English at Arcadia University and attended the prestigious LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts (The Fame School) in NYC as a drama major. She holds a Masters of Arts degree in Teaching from Columbia College.
While teaching in New York, San Diego, and New Jersey, she has directed and choreographed shows for students ages 3 to 18, including Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr., Suite Surrender, Anastasia, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Matilda, 12 Angry Jurors, The Addams Family, and many more. Over the years her productions have received multiple Montclair Theater Night and Freddy Awards including her most recent production of Newsies which was nominated for 10 Freddy Awards including Overall Outstanding Production and took home 3 wins.
Nicole is the former Director of the Musical Theatre Department and Touring Ensemble at Scripps Performing Arts Academy and served for several years as the Performing Arts Department chair at the Purnell School while choreographing for their award winning dance company. Most recently she was the Theatre Arts teacher for the Warren Hills Regional School district and is currently on staff at The Pingry School.
Nicole has spent many summers with Elefante and always looks forward to the Musical Theater Summer Shows and Camps.
