Calendar – Please note that from this point forward all rehearsals are mandatory and the whole cast is called for the full time. Note that all rehearsals and performances will be held at the Chatham Playhouse (NOT at Elefante Music).

| Performances | There will be a total of 6 performances of It’s Christmas, Cara. Evening performances are on Tuesday, January 10*; Thursday, January 12; Friday, January 13; and Saturday, January 14 at 7:00pm. Matinees are on Saturday, January 14 and Sunday, January 15 at 2:00pm. Call times for the cast are 30 minutes before each performance. *Note that there is no performance on Wednesday, January 11th. |
Tickets
Tickets are now off presale and are available to the general public. Here’s the link to the ticket page. Share it with friends. We want the kids playing to full houses!
Costumes
We are providing cheerleading costumes for cheerleading ghosts and cheerleading non-ghosts. In addition, there are clothing items (outfits, outerwear, and base costumes) that each actor will provide. Please bring all outfits and outerwear to the first tech rehearsal at the Chatham Playhouse on 1/3/23. Please wear all base costumes to/from every tech rehearsal and performance.
Outfits
“Outfits” are items that you should be able to find in your current wardrobe, for the most part. All outfits should be on separate hangers. Each hanger should be CLEARLY MARKED with masking tape with the actor’s name. Each clothing item should be CLEARLY MARKED at the inside collar or waistband with the actor’s name on a piece of masking tape. Each actor’s specific outfits are described in the spreadsheet linked below.
Outerwear
“Outerwear” are hats, scarves, mittens, etc. All outerwear items (as described on the spreadsheet linked below) should be CLEARLY MARKED with actor’s first name and initial on each item. Please bring the outerwear items in a see-through bag clearly labeled with the actor’s name.
Base Costumes
“Base costumes” are clothing that you will wear to and from the theater under your street clothes. This is so that costume changes can easily be done out in the open. Please remember to wear your base costume to and from every Chatham rehearsal (starting on 1/3/23) and every performance. At the end of the rehearsal or performance, you will wear your base costume home. The base costumes for each actor are described in the spreadsheet below.

“Wranglers” Needed
We’ll need some “child wranglers” helping out backstage for the dress rehearsals and performances. Wranglers provide basic supervision: help to ensure the kids are quiet, staying safe, are hanging up their costumes, etc. If you are available, please add your name to:
Props
We are in the process of gathering/making props. If anyone has or would like to provide props, please sign up to provide the specific prop (click on the link, below) and have your performer bring the item(s) in with them to rehearsal. Thanks!

You might want to take the steps below to ensure that messages from karen@elefantemusic.com get through to you. Do the same with lisa@elefantemusic.com and laura@elefantemusic.com, since they’ve been sending out some emails to the cast as well.
Depending on your email provider, there are different ways to do this. Here’s how it works for gmail:
To make sure that messages you receive from a specific person pass through the Google spam filter, create an email filter using the “Never send it to Spam” option:
1. Open Google Mail and click Settings > Filters > Create a new filter
2. Enter the person’s email address in the From field
3. Click Create filter with this search
4. Select Never send it to spam
5. Click Create Filter

Upright bass, also called string bass or double bass, is a member of the orchestra family. Just as often, however, it appears in jazz, bluegrass, folk, and other genres. With a large hollow body and 4 thick strings, the tones produced by the upright bass are low and rich. The instrument is capable of long, expressive tones when played with a bow; and short, percussive tones when plucked with the strings. String bass is a dynamic and impressive instrument to play!
The oboe is a woodwind and a member of the double-reed family. It is played by blowing air through the reed, attached at the top of the instrument. The reed consists of two very thin pieces of cane, pressed together with a small opening to allow air to pass through. The sound can be high in pitch, but it has a variety of colorful tones, from bright and piercing to low and mysterious.
